Roberto Aceves has something every photographer should have: a 360° peripheral vision; but he also has very sensitive fibers throughout his body, no only in his eyes. His senses (more than five, I have come to think sometimes) are always alert and allow him to seize moments, instants; unrepeatable, ephemeral images; minuscule pieces of the puzzle existence is, even in the midst of a boisterous scene.

A man otherwise simple, joyful, the owner of an excellent sense of humor, he changes when his senses wake up his image hunter instincts; his muscles catapult him over any obstacle as he chases his prey.

His sensitivity is always alert, which makes him an excellent landscape photographer, but his true passion is people. He is a gifted portraitist that perceives and expresses something that lies beyond the exterior appearance. His portraits are emotional expressions, just as they are aesthetic; thus a smile, a gesture, a gleam of light on a face, or a scene of unconditional love, is captured into his hunter bag.

His passion and skillfulness to photograph people has taken him to become a prestigious photographer of weddings, conventions and social events. Roberto also has a special charisma when it comes to taking a child’s photo. I haven’t seen any other photographer capture the innocence in a child’s eyes, or the peaceful feeling mom’s lap brings, like he does.
